It was a sweltering weekend. And in the heat, next to the Queen Mary, Cockpit was performing at the Los Angeles Calendar Motorcycle Show. It was my first bike rally and amid hundreds of bikes was a stage being rocked out by women.
In one of my first blog posts, I talked about my sister’s band, Cockpit. Since that time, the girls went on a multi-week tour of the Midwest, schlepping their gear in a van and suffering through ice, rain, and snow. This past weekend, they played through a heat wave. Despite the heat, or maybe because of it, the girls played two hot (!) sets and managed to look cool (!!) through it all. Okay, I’ll stop now. I know you’re begging me to stop. So I will.
