I’m so honored to be able to blog about my portrait session with the S family for my 100th post! We set up a newborn session for the newest member of the S family after he decided to arrive about a month early and thwarted our plans for a maternity session. I guess the little guy was just too eager to get in front of my camera!
The beautiful family.
And here’s the new little guy.
This little girl cracks me up. Most kids are a little quiet and shy when first meeting someone new, but when she saw I had arrived, she just started talking about Sesame Street (which she was watching at the time) as if we were picking up a conversation we had started last week. And then came questions and explanations, and honestly I could have hung out with her all day. I’ll just say that this girl has some serious flair. Here’s a little black and white series of her.
I think this is my absolute favorite photo from the day.
And I’ll end this post with a few black and whites of the kids. Momma S thought this would be a fun idea – that’s a coffee table that we’ve put them in – and I have to agree. I loved how these turned out.
S family – You all are saints for plowing through this photo session. And for putting up with me, asking to move furniture all over the house, ironing sheets, going through linens…I know it’s a tough thing to prep for when there are little people around needing attention. So thank you for letting into your home for a few hours to capture such a sweet moment in your lives!
