It was a habit I picked up in New York. I would obsessively check weather.com to see how to properly prepare for the day, even needing an hourly update. But when I moved back to Southern California over four years ago, I quickly realized that my most frequently visited site wasn’t quite so useful to me in Los Angeles. Every morning before work I would check the weather and every morning it was the same (clear skies and sunny, in case you’re wondering). So I stopped checking.
It seems to happen to all families. The kids grow up and they stop taking those annual family portraits at Sears or the local photo studio. And suddenly, one of the kids is getting married.
I am so happy to share these photos of some dear friends of ours, who are expecting their first little one in February. Regardless of how non-maternal Pavi feels, I know that both she and Alex will make wonderful parents. The reason why? They always manage to not take themselves too seriously and make each other laugh. Like this.
The last time I saw this family, Spencer was still a baby at one and half years old. My how things have changed. Not only has he grown into a kid, he’s acquired a little brother as well. Between these two, I think I got a workout that lasted me all week! Thankfully they quickly paused for me to fire this off. Reintroducing Spencer and new little one, Ashton.
