After some shameless plugging from my husband (oh, the powers of Facebook), I was incredibly happy to be taking family photos for a long-time friend. Anne is the older sister of Joy, who was my very first friend when I moved to California. Needless to say, I’ve known these girls for the majority of my lifetime.
As a kid, I clearly remember looking up to Anne. She was the older sister of my best friend, and she had a old-time glamour about her – which she still does. And she’s managed to pass this glamour on to her daughter. Just like her name, Alice is dainty and graceful, even as a baby. I was thrilled to meet her when Anne and Jason were home over the holidays to visit their families.
Little did I know that when Anne said she wanted to do family photos, we were in for a full afternoon of photos that included nine adults, baby, and a dog! As always, I am forever grateful for my husband in helping me keep everything organized and in line during the shoot. Anne wanted something different from the typical “park” family photos, so we opted to walk around downtown Fullerton for a more urban atmosphere.
Without further ado, meet Alice!
And the gorgeous family.
The Yip and Chiu families! What’s so wonderful is we even have Alice’s great grandma.
Anne and that old-school glamour I was talking about.
Favorite shot of the day.
Anne wanted to get some “glowy” shots, so I was thankful when the sun showed up at the end of the day.
Thank you Anne and Jason for being such good sports during the afternoon. Especially you, Jason, since I made you jump around for over 5 minutes! Hope to see you guys in Boston later this year.
