I was thrilled when I got an email from Amy asking, “Time for Castillos?” Of course I had time for one of my first families! It’s been a while since I’ve last seen them and since then, Alex has grown into a little man and big brother – a role he is so sweet in.
Last time I saw the Castillos we shot in a nearby park. This time we decided to mix it up a little bit and headed over to the Venice canals. I’ve heard plenty about them, but had never actually visited (clearly I don’t get west of the 405 much). Such a beautiful place for a photo session!
This little cutie has her papa wrapped around her little finger. And it’s pretty obvious why.
It turns out that this photo session is Amy’s birthday present (happy belated birthday!) from her family. I am so honored that this is what she asked for – and talk about added pressure! Amy and Ale prepped Alex all week having him practice his smile and even promising him ice cream for a job well done. And how did he do? I’d say he earned it.
We headed over to the beach to finish off our session and take advantage of the California sunset. The kids loved the change of scenery and couldn’t get enough of the sand and water.
This little outfit is a gift from her godmother. Who can resist a little girl in a tutu??
Amy and Ale – Thank you for a fun afternoon in Venice! It was wonderful to catch up with you two and see how beautifully your family has grown. You guys are troopers, I know we went over time and pushed the kids to the limits of their patience, but I think it was well worth it!
