While I know it’s the year of the snake, I think it really is the year of the baby. During the fall of last year, there were no children in my close circle of friends, but at the same time later this year, there will be more than five, including my own little one! Since we’re spread out all around the country, Edwin and I decided that we better get out there and visit our friends who have already had their babies before I can no longer get airborne.
It was the day after a Cars-filled birthday when I got to spend an afternoon with Connor and Hailey. After sharing a piece of leftover birthday cake (which was delicious), we headed out to a nearby park to make some memories marking the occassion.
Seven weeks ago, the Chang family welcomed sweet baby sister, Alexis, to their family. While up in the Bay Area, I was delighted to capture some special moments with her and her family. Luckily, I was able to catch them before dad, Albert, had to head to the new restaurant and beer garden – which, by the way, looks amazing! But even more amazing is this cutie.
I’ll admit it, I still have a ton of stuff stashed away at my parents’ house. Boxes of stuffed animals, old mixed tapes, my favorite movies on VHS – even a stray fanny pack or two. I have tried to clean out some of these things, but it’s so hard to part with, or find somewhere else to store these memories from my childhood. But during one of these purges, I did find a bucket full of stamps. Rubber stamps. As in the kind you use with ink pads.
Introducing Avram. This sweet little guy is just five weeks old and belongs to some dear friends of mine, who were game enough to let me come all the way to San Francisco to take these newborn photos. We tried (unsuccessfully) to get him into a nice food coma so we could mold him into some fun newborn positions, but he was a bit too alert for that, often staring down my camera. Just look at this head of hair!
